Good morning everyone! I hope you had a great holiday this year!

I’d like to start this dreary Tuesday morning off by bitching about Google Friend Connect. Basically long story short: GFC is no longer going to be available to anyone not using blogspot/blogger to host their blog. And then I also heard that they are trying to get rid of GFC completely and “replace” it with Google+. I don’t even know how Google is trying to replace one feature with something completely different! I assume once Google+ takes over GFC, they will open it up for non-blogspot bloggers to use it. Pretty much seems like this is google’s way of forcing people to use G+ (which I hate, for the record), because it didn’t take off like they expected.

Okay- so I signed up with Bloglovin because they also have the counter feature. Most nail/makeup bloggers do their giveaways based on the number of followers they have. I also like that my updates appear in “digest” mode with other blogs being followed, and Bloglovin also has that feature.

I’m also annoyed that a lot of my OWN favorite blogs to follow will be losing GFC so I’m hoping that everyone else switches over to Bloglovin too so I can continue to follow them with ease.

Google is greedy. I am SOOOO aggravated with this- it’s not even like I’m not a google supporter (usually). I’ve had the same gmail account for over 5 years, I use google to search, I still have a few blogs on blogger (owned by google), etc. I would have still been with google when I transferred to my own domain, except blogger doesn’t allow you to host offsite, like WordPress does. Go figure!

Okay so the gist of my rant was: Please follow me via Bloglovin from now on and I will delete GFC sometime shortly.

This is the manicure I’ve been sporting since Christmas eve! It’s Zoya Sarah (love!), with Cosmetic Arts gold (not sure of the actual name) gradient, and a light coat of China Glaze Party Hearty (thanks to Erika at Polish Fixation for sending this my way!).

I also choppered my nails down! (And yes, choppered is a word! ;)
